When will beta 7 (aka public beta 5) be launched?
Will it have a fix for MS Outlook 2011, which is frozen.
None of the betas have worked.
Can you give me a timescale on a fix?

Unless they are psychic no one can tell you when a particular update will be released. As far as MS Office 2011, it's not likely to work on 10.11 unless Microsoft updates it or a newer version is updated to work with 10.11. As a rule, developers don't rewrite a new OS to work with older programs that break on the new OS.
Thanks Dailabrain.
I am sure even Microsoft will not want to freeze out its Office 2011 customers from OSX El Capitan. I just hope it does not take them months to do it.
You should update to Office 2016. Looks and works great
office 2011 (not outlook) isnt supported on 10.10, much less on 10.11
you should try 2016 which is indeed much better (other than the pastel colors in calendar).
also, since the launch of 2016, outlook seems to fail a lot on all versions of OSx
some user may depend on Outlook 2011 just because they still use Exchange 2007 and here's the problem, Outlook 2016 supports only Exchange 2010 SP2 and above and until El Capitan beta 2 Outlook 2011 kept running. It first broke with beta 3
You should really report the problem to Microsoft since it's their software that doesn't work
anymore. I still use Office 2008 on Yosemite, works fine. I'm sure it will break in El Capitan
but then, that's Microsoft's problem, not Apple's.
