Can't Create Simulator

Hey Guys,

I'm using Xcode Version 7.0 beta 5 (7A176x)

There is no simulator on the list close to the play/stop menu.

If I go to Window > Devices and press ADD to add any pair of simulator with or without a watch. The window freezes and adds no simulator.

Thanks 🙂

Hi,

You probably need to remove your old runtimes from /Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes

Post back after trying that...

It's possible that your runtimes are in a different directory, but many have resolved your issue by removing them. In the latest 10.11 Release Notes it is explained that:

Xcode processes may quit unexpectedly if older iOS Simulator runtimes (Xcode 6.x) are present on disk.

Thanks. I did that, and restart xcode. It worked perfectly. Thank you.

Thanks. I have indeed Xcode 6 in El Capitain (working due to a hack) since its not supossed to even open. So maybe the error is related. Both my Xcodes (6 and 7) open and work fine fine.

I removed an iOS 8.1.simruntime as Max108 suggested from /Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes.

Hello,

I did tried removing older runtimes from Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes but still I am not able to run the simulator. I also tried adding newer onesusing the Window->Devices but still nothing happens. I am using XCode7 Beta6.

Can you pls help me?

Thanks
