I am running iOS 9 beta 5 and I can't configure my iPad with the DEP/MDM stuff. Is this my fault or just something depricated in iOS 9? 😟

Thanks,

Charles

Maybe the MDM server doesn't have TLS 1.2.

Can I upgrade to that without changing anything with iOS 8 devices? We only have a few people with iOS 9 to see how it works with our tools but a ton of people running iOS 8. I don't want to disturb them or break anything... Side note, I found an exploit that allows you to bypass DEP enrollment and my radar hasn't been viewed.

Upgrading to TLS 1.2 shouldn't affect the iOS 8 devices, but will be necessary for iOS 9 devices.

If you feel that that the exploit requires Apple's urgent attention, then you can call Apple Developer Support from these numbers.

Hey, I found out that it's an issue with the certificates. I can't seem to find out what needs to be changed though, it just says "this cerifiate was signed by an un-trusted issuer"

Does it specify the certificate? If not, you need to check your Verisign certs:

  1. Open Keychain (by pressing CMD+Space and then typing “Keychain”).
  2. Then type "veri" into the Keychain app's searchbar.
  3. For each of the VeriSign certificates, do the following:
    • Check that the certificate is still valid (far right column) and delete it if it isn't.
    • Double-click it, which brings up it's own window and expand the "Trust" menu.
    • Make sure "When using this certificate:" is set to "Use System Defaults", not "Always Trust".

The remaining 10 should be left at "no value specified".

An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection could not be made.
