Anyone else having a glitch issue in Apple Watch app on their iPhone with iOS9 Beta?

Everytime I click the Friends tab in Apple Watch app, a white screen appears saying, Upgrade Now and it's there on wake-up too. I have to restart my iPhone to make it go away...

Not seen or heardof this before. You could try downloading the full iOS9 installer and reinstalling

Not sure how I would do that, Nick. Thanks for your response btw

Anyone?

Hi DRez,

I've not heard of this either. Which beta is your iPhone running?

Max.

Beta 5

Are you also running watchOS 2? If so, make sure that's on Beta 5 too.

I don't know how far you're prepared to go to fix the issue, but the first thing I'd try is to un-pair the watch and then re-pair it again as a new device.

Let me know how that works out...

Watch was reset last night.. wiped clean and started over. When I made it to the part to add my friends, this began to happen. Never happened before. And I dont have Watch OS2 on mine. Just running 1.0.1

Since that seems to have been the origin of the issue, the next diagnostic step would be to hard power-down your phone and, after switching on again, repeat the un-pairing and setting up as a new device. If the issue persists after that, then the glitch is very likely with the phone. In that event, the easiest thing to do would be to backup the phone to iTunes, wait for tomorrow's likely new beta and use it to restore your phone as a new device before restoring from your backup.

Restored iPhone to 8.4 and re-installing iOS9 Beta as we speak... It says Beta 3 but maybe an update will be available after it's done installing. Anyway, I also reset the Watch and will do all the work to get my apps back etc. I'll let you know if that fixes it... Thanks for your help, Max!

Downloading from https://developer.apple.com/ios/download/ should definitely give you Beta 5. If you've got Beta 3 somehow, I can only imagine that you either had the .ipsw on your system from before, or that the you also had the the phone on the Public Beta program, which offered you Beta 3 OTA...

It is indeed on Beta 5, I verified it. It looks like the software I had before was corrupt. After doing what I said earlier, the glitch is now gone! Problem solved..

Glad you got it sorted 🙂

To correct the issue, I had to:

-Restore iPhone to iOS 8.4 Backup stored from prior to updating to iOS9 Public Beta.

-Updated iPhone to iOS 9 again

-Re-downloaded all my apps

-Reset Apple Watch and started fresh.

-Organized apps on Apple Watch accordingly

And that fixed it... It seems I had corrupt software in my beta. Only a small part but enough to make me fix it. And if you're wondering how long it took to get all this handled. It took about 4 hours after all was said and done.
