Receiving ios 9 beta update notifications but phone says it's up to date.

I installed the ios 9 public beta about a month ago and recently I've been getting notifications that there's a new update, but when check "software updates," my phone says it's up to date. How can I fix this?

Hi Lilizulu,

The current version is 9.0 Beta 5, so first check if you've got the latest version. You check it by going to Settings > General > About > Version. The latest Build (Beta 5) is 13A4325c.

Max.

Mine is saying the same thing im stil on version 13A4293g and I can't seem to get the newer one and I dont know why?

Same for me. Any solution?

Thanks but I'm on an older version but my phone is saying I'm up to date even though I keep getting notifications for updates. Still need a fix for why it's telling me that. The updates should be coming through "Software Update" right?

I had the same issue and have finally resolved and figured out why... APPLE PLEASE LISTEN!

I have two separate apple IDs one for Itunes and one for Icloud. Only one of the ids is on my beta profile...and that is the problem!

This is what you need to do. WARNING you will loose all your data on your phone.

1. you need to remove your device from from Icloud under find my iphone.

2. You need to put the phone into recovery mode https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201263

3. Set up as a new phone with just the apple id you used for the Beta

4. Go to beta and re-enroll your device and install your beta profile on your phone.

5. Go to software update and then Ios9.3 will show up

For some reason this beta will not let you use two separate apple Ids.

They should. You need to remove any profiles from: Settings > General > Profiles. Then restart your iPhone. You should now be able to update OTA. If you had a Watch OS 2 beta profile, you can add it back again afterwards. If you're a Public Beta tester and you still can't update OTA, then reinstall the profile from here to your phone, restart, and try again.

If it still doesn't work then you're looking a restoring via DFU mode...

I've been having the same problem since Saturday so I went and removed the beta profile from my iPhone which apparently deactivates it entirely forcing a restore. So anyone else that has this issue, not sure if I did something incorrectly here or not, but tread carefully before removing the profile.

To be more specific, when I turned my phone back on after restarting I get a message stating "iOS Beta Expired. Please perform a device restore. For more information, visit the Service Answer Center at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808"

Thank you for the clue about the APPLE IDs.

I have been unsuccessful at removing the Public Beta ios9.0 from my ios device.

All efforts to restore the device in recovery mode kept failing (i.e. it would eventually time out during the iTunes download of what I expected would be ios8.4.1, and just restore the ios9.0-no!) ... So I checked and saw that this most recent time the RESTORE process in iTUNES had set the default on the ios dev to backup the phone to iCLOUD-which I never wish to do.. so I SIGNED OUT of icloud for iTunes and SIGNED OUT of icloud to make it turn off everything..(I was unsuccessful at using iCLOUD settings on the device to turn off FIND MY PHONE-as it kept rejecting my carefully typed password on that level)- however when I signed out of icloud, it accepted my password.

at least I have dissassociated my ios device on public beta from the APPLE ID- local to the device.

I had tried te method of un-enrolling from the PUBLIC BETA for ios 9.0 but that hasn't worked as of yet.- I got the sucess message for the unenroll- but I am still having issues trying to remove the Public BETA 9.0 from the device and replacing it with a simple clean install of ios8.4.1 in recovery mode.

(I never thought it would be this difficult to accomplish)
