Hi,
I'm about to submit review my game soon.
However, I've heard from someone about his past experience when he was rejected once because of his app did not allow "guest mode" play.
My game will only be available via game center, will not store any other user data or ask for user to join any other site.
Could you help me if I still need to implement guest mode play support in my game?

Judging by what I've heard lately about tons of people being rejected due to regulation 17.2 (apps can't block generic functionality if the user is not yet registered), even if they were approved in the past, it looks like App Review has toughened their expectation of what is acceptable. So unless you're interested in going through the frustration of getting rejected, you totally should implement a guest mode. In addition to helping make sure you get approved, it will be a nicer user experience anyway 🙂.

I totally agree on your opinion and no matter apple cares about it or not, it seems like I need to get it implemented for guests. 😟
However, 1 more question. I see regulation 17.2 different from what you said though. Just curious.

Apps that require users to share personal information, such as email address and date of birth, in order to function will be rejected
