Xcode Could not find developer disk image for IOS9 GM seed, betas work fine

Hi guys

I've just updated to the latest Xcode (version 7.0, 7A218) and upgraded two devices from IOS 9 beta to GM seed

Now when I try and run my code on the devices, xcode says they are unavailable and looking in the devices window it says Could not find Developer Disk Image.

This only happens only on the GM seed devices that I've just upgraded, devices which have IOS 9 betas still work fine

Can anybody help?

Hi Trevr,

I condensed the answer into the following:

Check the build number given on the iOS 9 GM devices in Settings > General > About > Version

13A340 is the iOS 9 GM, which should be supported on Xcode 7.0 GM and 13B5110e is iOS 9.1, which won't be supported on Xcode 7 GM, only Xcode 7.1

If you accidentally downloaded and installed iOS 9.1 instead of iOS 9 GM, you can still downgrade back to iOS 9.0 GM, but you'll have to do it with a Restore rather than an Update, so it will wipe those devices. Alternatively you can download XCode 7.1 Beta and that will allow you to develop for your iDevices on iOS 9.1.

Max.

Just want to clairfy. I just did this (this, as in installed the newest iOS9.1 on accident instead of clicking the GM build) and installed the iOS 9 GM build after by option + clicking "check for update" in the summary tab. It installed (downgraded) iOS 9 GM with no issues. In short, you don't have to restore.
