So, what's up with a new 9.1 beta already? Anyone know what that's about??

WWhy a 9.1 before 9.0 comes out??

tvOS

It's because the new capabilities of the hardware announced yesterday (the iPad Pro, and the 6S and 6S+) requires a updated operating system to take advantage of them. iOS 9.1 adds support for Live Photos, the Apple Pencil, and 3D Touch APIs as well as the iPad Pro's dual app capabilities.

THanks for the replys. Makes sense. So no sense putting it on any of my devices.

No sense at all - in fact there are very good reasons not to. If you want to simply update to the final version of 9.0 when it is released, you should not update to 9.1 because then you'll have to wipe your device before being able to go back to the release version. Also, between now and then you may very well overwrite your iOS 9.0 backup with a 9.1 one which will make it inaccessible after your device is wiped and back on the release version of iOS 9.0
