I was signed up to the iOS beta program and downloading the releases through until it flagged up that 9.1 beta was available. At that point on both my iPad and iPhone I deleted the beta profile. On both devices and despite removing the profile I continued to be reminded that 9.1 beta was available. I decided to restart both devices. On my iPhone it stopped reminding me about 9.1 beta and has told me to download the release version of 9 available today. However, on my iPad it appears that it went a step further and downloaded (but didn't install) 9.1. As a result it is still pestering me to install it. How can I remove the downloaded version of 9.1 that sits on my iPad and update to the new version of 9 released today, as I successfully did with my iPhone.
Any advice is appreciated.
Hi Andy
- To erase the already downloaded iOS 9.1 update, check Settings > General > Usage > Manage Storage. If you see the iOS 9.1 beta there then select it and delete.
- And, just for good measure, unenroll from the Beta Program by going to https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/unenroll and use the link at the bottom.
- Restart your iPad.
This should solve the problem - let me know...
Max.
