Replacement due to faulty hardware?

Does anyone know how to get a replacement Apple TV Devkit ? My hardware is faulty - the USB-c cable will not push all the way into the conenction - it only pushes about half way in and falls out. Does anyone know who I should contact about this?

Have you tried pressing harder?

Flip it over. Had the same problem on mine, one direction no click, the other, click.

So I pressed much harder and turned the cable upside down (even though that is not supposed to matter). Finally have the click and connection looks snug. But now I am receiving an error on my mac when I plug in to my mac:

'USB Devices Disabled. Unplug the device using too much power to re-enable USB devices'.

Anyone else receiving this error?

i'm going to guess that you're plugging it into your keyboard? If so plug it into one of the USB Ports on your computer.

No I am plugging directly into my Macbook. I've tried on 2 different Macbooks with the same result.

Buy a new third-party USB-C to USB-A cable

Using the black cable?

Yes right, using the black cable

Thanks I will give that a try today.

That did not help. Tried three different cables

I did. They called several times, but I did not get a solution or a replacement.

Are you still having issues connecting the USB cable to your Apple TV?

Yes. Same issue even with El Capitain. It is a hardware fault.

I got the Apple TV Dev Kit and there is only a normal white USB cable (same as the one for my 1st generation iPad Air) so I can't use it with the AppleTV. Where do I get this black USB-C cable?
