Constant reboots on a 6s with 9.1 public B2

Anyone else experiencing lots of reboots with a new 6s and 9.1 Public Beta 2? Mine reboots about every 5 minutes but there is no pattern when it will do so... it even rebooted while charging and not using it. I am thinking about downgrading to 9.0. I had to update the 6s to 9.1 since my iCloud backup from the old phone on 9.1 could otherwise not be restored...

Hi, have you got a 9.1 iTunes backup? If not do you think the phone would stay on long enough to make one? An iTunes 9.1 backup actually can in many cases be restored to a device running 9.0.1 - but an iCloud one not.

The alternative approach is to reset to "factory condition" with Settings > General > Reset > Erase all Content and Settings, and then restore from the same iCloud backup.

Just to follow up: First I tried a clean install of 9.1B2 which did not help with the reboots. Then I downgraded to 9.0.1 with a clean install and everything is running smoth without reboots.

Actually I don't want to go through the loop again to create a backup with 9.1 on the Macbook Pro, but thanks for the tip anyway. I now restored an older iCloud backup suitable for 9.0 since most of my data is in iCloud anyway. I miss the activity awards, though ;-) And boy is it anoying to wipe and restore the connected Apple watch with every step...

Yes, there's a little way to go yet before the Watch is a "seemless and effortless" part of the Apple ecosystem...

Anyway, glad you got it sorted. 🙂

Had the exact same issue. Upon purchase immediately installed public beta 2 so I could restore from backup. Immediately went into re-boots after about 10-30 sec. I then downloaded the dev 9.1 and did a complete restore. This allowed me to restort my 9.1 backup but after restore would just reboot constantly. Finally had to take my old phone down to 9.0.1, backup on iTunes, restore the 6s to 9.0.1 and restore from that backup. Note that the restore was missing about 20% of my apps and I had to re-download from the App Store BUT the wierd thing was that my data was then there in the restored apps. I guess the restore created the Documents directory in some un-populated app bundle which the app store download restored? or maybe the app store download just re-connected the app bundle to Springboard. Not sure which and at this point don' care 🙂
