Hi Beedroid,

Given that kind of strange behaviour I suggest you try the following - let us know how it goes 🙂:

NVRAM Reset

  1. Shut down the computer.
  2. Hold down Command, Option (left side), P and R keys while you switch on and continue holding them until you hear the restart sound a second time.

SMC Reset (following assumes you have a Mac book - if you have a desktop consult https://support.apple.com/en-ie/HT201295):

  1. Shut down the computer.
  2. Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source and to your computer.
  3. On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift, Control, and Option keys and the power button at the same time.
  4. Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
  5. Press the power button to turn on the computer.

Hello Max108, Thanks for your help. So yesterday i tried everything. As the mac is only 2 days old i went to the store and they change it. The strange is... Int he new one is happening the same?? I do all the setup and when restart he say is incorrect password. Im using iCloud password l. This can be something related with Azerty keyboard? As i live in belgium i select in the setup belgium keyboard because is actually one:). Thsi time the blacklight are on but say incorrect psseord.im really out of my mind with this. Can you help please or any sugestion?

I think you might very well be right about it being the keyboard. If your password is alphanumeric only (i.e. doesn't include any special characters or letter modifications like è) then you can test this by imagining that the keyboard is a QWERTY keyboard and typing your password accordingly.

I also just want to check that you are aware that you don't have to use your iCloud password for the login password on your Mac - you can choose any password you want from System Preferences > Users & Groups (I'm assuming that you can still log in by clicking "Forgot Password"?

Hello, Well thanks a lot for your help. Injust change my password for a normal one. I was using @ and * in the password. Now without that characters work perfectly. I guess i need to stay with a not that steing password, i think the mac change for some reason when restart for other type of keyboard. Thanks a lot Max.

No problem - Glad you got it sorted 🙂

I had the same problem. I tried deleting files in Icoud/Accounts, restarted holding command, option, PR for 2 bongs, shut down machine, booted offf another drive and ran disk tools... Even spoke to 2 different Apple reps. No dice. After they elevayed and said an engineer would contact me in 48 hours (too long) I went old school.

I restarted my machine, holding down the shift key. Safe mode. Looged into itunes, icloud and messages with my apple ID... NO PROBLEM! Restarted my machine normally and Víola!
