Did this not make it to release? I have the existing two-stage verification turned on, and the latest privacy policy still links to that.
Just curious if anyone knows.
Yes, 2FA (which, as you note, is distinct from 2SV) has been active since the Developer Preview of El Capitan was released on June 8th. Since then 2FA has come up quite a bit as the underlying cause when I've been troubleshooting various issues, but they were mostly/all worked out during the betas.
