Rejected - 2.10 - iPhone Apps must also run on iPad

Hi everybody,


my iPad was just rejected because of this:

2.10 - iPhone Apps must also run on iPad without modification, at iPhone resolution, and at 2X iPhone 3GS resolution


So i'm a little confused becasue my App has the HealthKit required entitlement and therefore is not able to run on an iPad, right? Is it save to remove that entitlement or is there another way to do that?

The App can and did run fine until i added HealthKit to it.

So you're saying you tested 1x/2x emulation mode on iPad with no major UI/quality issues ok, but only without HK enabled?

Ok so here is what i did now.

I took an old build without HK and watchapp Target and build in in the simulator and iPad Air 2 without any problems.


After that i removed the HK requirement on my current build and tried to build, but couldn't finish because it has a watchOS 2 target that is of course not available on iPad.

I'm fairly new and maybe missed something here?


EDIT: Looks i forgott to remove the HK requirement on the watchOS extension. It runs now without problem in 1x and 2x on iPad.

App is only iPhone not Universal.


i check in iPad Simulator that run fine. but not show 2x button right side.


How to get 2x button in iPad simulator.??

I have the same issue.

My game, only for iPhone, has been rejected because on iPad doesn't run at iPhone resolution.

I have tested it on an iPad 2 and indeed the 1x/2x button is not showed. (the app starts at 2X mode loading @2x graphic asset)

So i have tested on the simulator for all iPad models (iPad 2 included)

Except for the iPad 2, all other models show the 1x/2x button.


I have also included all 3 set of graphics (@1x, @2x, @3x) and all the launch screens (DefaultXXX) for all iphone resolution.

It seem that on iPad 2 when the app start, loads the @2x graphics ignoring the @1x graphics, so the 1x/2x button is not showed.


Is it possible ? Is it a iOS 9.2 bug ?

The problem is that the app is rejected every time.
