What app icon sizes are required?

I'm getting ready for submitting my first app for review. I've already got my app icons that I made using Sketch. The thing is that I've been spending the day reading about how to get my app ready for submission, and every source gives different information as for the required icon sizes. I've started working on my app before swift 2.0, iOS 9 and xCode 7, so my current app icons are the following: 29 pts (@ 1x, @ 2x, @ 3x), 40 pts ( @ 2x & 3x), 57 pts (@ 2x & 3x) as well as 60 pts (@ 2x & 3x), however some sources mention that I would need an iTunes artwork icon 1024 x 1024 pts. Is this one really required? And if so, where should I put it since the default app icon set in Images.xcassets doesn't have room for this icon in particular. I was also wondering about launch files/images. I personally have 2 labels for my launch screen in the default LaunchScreen.xib file. Is that ok or does apple require actual images instead of labels?

*My app is iPhone only

Thanks in advance,

Guillaume

You need to bundle two icons: 120 x 120 (60@2x) and 180 x 180 (60@3x).

You need one iTunes artwork: 1024 x 1024, at the time you register your app on the iTunes Connect.

I have never tried to submit an app with the launch screen as you describe, but according to the description in the Launch Files, that would be accepted, though I cannot assure.
