No way to refresh the Xcode managed Provisionning Profiles after adding a a device?

This is perplexing. Today, after adding a new iPad to the device list, the distribution profile was fine once I added the device by checkmarking it in its list. However I couldn't get the Xcode managed profiles which are used for development to get updated by Xcode 7.0.

While I was able to create a new provisioning profile and use it successfully, I really had wanted the xcode managed development profiles to be updated. There appears to be no way of getting that to happen in Xcode 7. I eventually deleted all development provisioning profiles both from Xcode 7 as well as the portal and kept waiting for a new ones to be automatically generated. Never happened.

Ultimately I had to use Xcode 6.4 >Preferences > Account Details > RefreshButton to get it to work. Once I did that Xcode 7.0 finally showed that there were new Xcode managed development profiles. Downloaded them and all was fine.

Does anyone know if this issue is fixed in Xcode 7.0.1? If it's not a bug and I'm misunderstanding how Xcode 7.x.x determines that new profiles need to be generated/updated my apologies to the Xcode developers.

Thanks,

Neal

To get 7.0 to auto generate, we deleted all profiles from Member Centre and Xcode as you did. To get Xcode to generate the dev profiles, we selected 'run'.

To get Xcode to auto generate the Ad Hoc and Distribution profiles, did an Archive, Export and select for Ad Hoc build. Assuming you had auto generate working. If not, follow guide on how to designate build settings for automatic generation.
