Hi, Our company outsourced another company to develop an iOS application. We need to publish the app under our company's name. Therefore, we enrolled in the Developer Program (for Organizations). Is it possible to publish the app if we don't have any Mac computer? If yes, could you please give me a list of things that I need to request from the company that developed the app for us? If no, is there another way to publish the app without giving out our company's Apple ID? Thank you in advance. (My English skills aren't very good - sorry if some or most messages in this post sound inappropriate)
How to publish an outsourced iOS application
You have a couple of choices:
1) Hand over the Distribution certificate, private key, log in details to the company. After submission, revoke the certificate and key, change the log in password.
2) Get a Mac, and re-sign the binary with your certificate and profile, and upload with Application Loader.
Since you are enrolled as an organization, there is a third option available. Create another account in iTunes Connect with technical access and give the company you outsourced to that login information. I highly recconmend NOT sharing your personal account password, as that could end in a disaster, especially if you already have apps on the App Store.
Note for others: Only organization accounts can create sub accounts, ie not individual accounts.
Hope this helps!
