Can't add external testers to TestFlight

Hi All,

I've been trying to add external users on my company’s iTunes Connect account so they can become testers for our app. 80% of cases when I add users, they don’t get verification emails or any kind of notification prompt to download TestFlight. Sometimes if I resend the invite, the user receives the invite, but this happens rarely.

Things done:

  • Use Safari Browser to send invites
  • Toggle the TestFlight on and off
  • Ask testers to check their junk folder

Please advise if you’ve done anything differently to ensure that your testers receive the email invite.

Thank you!

Mariana

Hello,

Since Apple did their dubious 'upgrade' of iTunes Connect several weeks ago, I can't find any way either to send invites or resend invites! How were you able to do this??? I just added an additional email address of my own as an external tester but I never saw a button or message that indicated that an invite would be sent and sure enough, no email has arrived at that mailbox inviting me to be an iTunes Connect user.

This upgrade of iTunes Connect is absolutely horrible. You could do so much more with the previous version. Why the heck did they change it? Apple should pay attention to the adage, 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!'

Thanks if you can point me to some hidden feature... And of course the iTunes Connect app is just even more pitiful.

I really don't understand how this could have been missed. The frustrating part is that Apple seems to be ignoring complaints.

I too have noticed the + button to add users to our External list has gone missing. It's still present for the Internal list, but yet to figure out if there's anything I can do to bring it back.

Okay, further investigation revealed it was just a result of the new roles / permissions setup. With an updated role, the ability to add is back.

(d'oh)
