Export button greyed-out

I'm new to iOS development. I want to export my archive for testing purposes, but the Export button is greyed-out, with the message "Distribution requires enrollment in the Apple Developer Program". I have enrolled and can access the Member Center, etc., so I'm not sure what's missing. Removing and re-adding my account in Xcode doesn't help. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot.

To test your app simply plug in your device into your computer and press on the button that says iPhone 6s Plus (or any iPhone/iPad the default is iPhone 6s Plus). Scroll up and you should see your device. Click on it and press build. You app will install onto the device and you can use it. I hope this helps you. Also just an FYI by what it means by "Apple Developer Program" is that you need to buy it, if you have it for free that's why it's not working.

Thanks for the reply.

I have tested on my own device. What I want to do now is distribute an ipa file to a select few for more feedback. The procedure sounds simple enough, but Xcode won't let me do it.

Having same problem. No help via google. Frustrating!

I think you know this but you have to set the device to "Generic iOS Device" before you export it.

same issue. so annoying, have to waste time just to upload a build rather building the product.

I'm having the same problem...after i archive my project the export button is disabled...anyone have solved?

I am having the same issues as well.

I'm trying to create a sticker pack. The Archive works and listed on Organizer Window.

Upload to App Store, Validate.., Export.. ALL DISABLED and in GREY 😟

Any solutions Please!! 😕

Yes, I have a Developer Account and signed in.

Also created and linked the Provisionary profiles (all checked)

Signing Certificate: linked

I pretty much have everything ready except this part..

Funny thing my iTunes Connect "Submit App Review" is clickable, now how is that possible.. 😝

Hey Puichehk did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same issue (all three of: Upload to App Store, Validate, and Export are all disabled).

I've checked everything that I think is necessary, but can't figure it out!

Thanks for any help 🙂

My problem was I was signed in with the wrong Apple ID (Xcode > Preferences > Accounts) and also that the Sticker Pack Extension had not been set to Generic iOS Device. I had had it on iPhone 6S or something.

I just changed "Development Team" of project and target from "My Name (Personal Team)" to "My Name" and Export button enabled!

How did you do that

I had the same problem I changed "Developer Team" under the target-settings from my name to my company name. To get to the settings: first click on the project name in top of the file tree. On the second row in the project settings, the name of the project is shown with a little "up/down"-symbol on, clicking that reveals a popup-menu where I could select target. On the target screen under "Signing" I could change "Development Team" from my name to the name of my company for which I have bought the license.

Hope it helps!
