Big Bug Program [xcode the application you have selected does not exist]
this is all but unacceptable -- we are losing money while waiting for them to fix their own blunder... all the sudden a critical bug fix of my company's app cannot upload because it "doesn't exist"? -- having briefly double checked, I have confirmed, it DOES TOO exist - as can be verified in the iTC portal... what gives? -- when can we return to uptading our apps again?
if everybody is having this issue, doesn't if effectively put the brakes on the entire app store? -- sounds very much like no further progress is gonna get done in the whole industry of iOS development while this madness holds out...
....are we being attacked by zombies?
I am facing the same problem. I tried with Application loader and it helped me to upload the build but now my build is stuck in processing status forever.
Really frustrating situation.
I have the same problem. First, I ckeck out the version number and it's ok.
I cannot upload from Application Loader.
Did anyone here recieve a response from Apple suport team yet? If Apple considered this issue as a bug, wouldn't they have fixed by now? For something so critical, how could the ETA go over a week?
Hi everyone,
I am not sure if Apple fixed the issue or not but I was able to upload the build finally using application loader. I have been following many threads on this topic and ended up doing the below steps
1. Logged into iTunes connect and using the application loader link downloaded its dmg and installed the same.
2. From spotlight in mac, searched and opened the application loader and chose the required build. (I dont know the installation overwrote the built-in application loader or not)
3. Clicked "chose" and after around 20 minutes the upload was successful. I validated by installing the app from testflight as well
FYI,I didnt install Xcode 7 in my mac and used only Xcode 6.1.1. Hope this will help others.
Faced this same issue - did a number of searches online, I believe tons of people are facing the same issue.
Seems like the issue is due to us using the old version of xcode (I have not migrated to the new Xcode 7 as it takes very long to download).
The best quick fix is to use Application Loader to upload your apps after archiving and validating (Application Loader is inbuilt into Xcode so you don't have to re-download the programme).
- Export your build as a file (Save for iOS App Store Deployment) after validating.
- Go to Xcode > Open Developer Tool > Application Loader
- In Application Loader log in to your account
- Click deliver your app.
- Select and upload the .ipa file you just exported.
- It should now appear in your itunesconnect build as a selectable build.
Hope Apple fixes this glaring problem soon.
I'm still seeing this - on Xcode 6.4 its complains the the CFBundleVersion is incorrect (even though I can build this for the sim and device and it runs fine - I know this error is wrong). on Xcode 7+ we see this application does not exist. I filed a ticket with the iTunesConnect team and they acted surprised that I was seeing this issue and had no suggestions except to open a ticket with developer support.
I believe this issue has been resolved by Apple as I was able to upload build to iTunes Testflight through Xcode (6.1.1). Hope no one else is facing this issue now.
