We have one development certificate and one distribution certificate created under our apple developer id in the Developer Member Center. Both are valid until the Nov 2016. The certificates have been installed on my Macbook and bound to 2 different keychains. One App ID and one provisioning profile for each certificate have been made. Testing devices have been registered and listed in the development provisioning profile.
The apple id is added to Xcode, certificates can be seen, provisioning profiles downloaded.
But unfortunately, a warning message always exits in TARGETS->General->Identity showing "No code signing identities found - No valid signing identities (i.e. certificate and private key pair matching the team ID “XXXXXXX”) were found". Trying to "Fix Issue" than more information like "Your account already has a valid iOS Development certificate – You have a valid iOS Development certificate in the Member Center, but it is not installed locally ..." with tow choices "Import Developer Profile" and "Reset". We have only one computer running Xcode, so we believe the former solution helps nothing. The second solution we have tried thousand of times, which revoked and recreated certificates and provisioning profiles again and again, but still didn't work.
We cannot pack the app to archive neither because of the same issue. Totally cannot figure out where the problem is. Everything worked perfectly one month ago. Recently we updated the OS and prolonged our apple developer account, nothing else.
Development:
MacBook Air
OS X El Capitan
Xcode 7.1
Test devices:
iPhone 6+ iOS 9
iPad Air2 iOS 8
Thanks for your help!
Problem solved!
The project was built by Cordova iOS platform ver. 3.9.1. Probably Xcode 7 didn't open it correctly because of missing some important files relevant to code signing. I downloaded and reinstalled Xcode 6 on my Macbook again, open the project firstly with Xcode 6 then with Xcode 7, the code signing problem disappeared.
Cordova iOS platform ver. 3.9.2 was announced toady, it should work fine with Xcode 7.
