App Store is delivering the wrong version of my app.

I'm having this issue where the App Store application is not delivering the correct version of my app (2.56.03), but instead is delivering an older build that we had submitted and gotten approved, but not launched. The App Store and iTunes Connect both have the correct version flagged, it's just that an install gives us the older version.

The issue isn't 100% consistent - If I download the app on an iPad Pro running 9.1, it does get the correct version of the app. However, it's not working on our iPad minis running iOS 8.

This was working correctly when the app launched on Nov. 11, I have an iPad Air that has the correct version loaded shortly after our launch. I could have sworn it was working correctly this morning.

Anyone else seeing this?

This happens if a user tries to download your app but they have a version of iOS that is less than your current deployment verison. They can still download the last update that is supported by their version of iOS.

It's not a very well documented part of the App Store but you can fix this by setting the deployment version to iOS 8 and uploading a new update.

we are experiencing the same problem. we have checked that the version number showing on itunes connect and on the app store are both correct, and we have checked that the ios version 10.0.2 is above the deployment target version of 8. but still the download got an older version of the app.

this is also inconsistent for us, where it downloads the correct version on my iphone, but an order version on my ipad. the only difference is that both my iphone and my ipad are running iOS 10.0.2.

How many versions do you have checked under Last-Compatible Version Settings?

App Store is delivering the wrong version of my app.
