Tax Info Pending. HELP!

Hi,

I'm getting ready to submit a paid application, in iTunes Connect I readied my tax info and contact details for paid applications about a month ago, but only two days ago filled in my bank info.

Should it still read "Pending Tax Info" After 48 hours of submitting bank info (And after about 30 days of submitting tax info...)

Surely 30 days is a bit of a wait to be pending.

It still shows "Set Up" under tax info, but if I go into it now everything is greyed out and I can't edit or submit again.

I think I am stuck. I urgently want to publish my paid application but I am unable to do so now thanks to iTunes Connect.

Bump I need help. Apple wont reply to my support emails either.

My status has also been Pending Tax for about a month now. Have not found something that indicates how long it normally takes.

Hello Again,

I've received my response from Apple. I'll paste it below. Basically it is saying it may take up to 90 days. Interesting regarding US Tax forms being needed in addition to CAD ones. I hadn't noticed that when reading about it. Sounds like those need to be sent as well but are processed much faster.

Cheers!

------- From Apple ------

Hello,

The tax team is generally able to process and return your CA tax form(s) to you within 90 days of receipt. If you have not received it back at that time, please advise.

The blue SET UP button will always remain as SET UP in iTunes Connect regardless of your CA tax form status. You will see no status update, even after your CA tax forms are processed.

You will be contacted by our Vendor Tax Team should there be an issue with your CA tax form. If there is a problem, you will not receive CA earnings until the issue is resolved.

If your Paid Apps or iAd contracts are not activating, please note that all developers are required to complete the US tax form setup regardless of country of residence. Once you complete the US tax form setup for the Paid Apps and iAd contracts you requested, the contracts will activate within 24 hours.

Thank you.

Ah thanks, Apple still hasnt replied to any of my emails after 7 days! I guess I'll just wait this out and see then!

In case anyone else lands here wondering, I never did receive a signed copy of the Canadian tax forms I sent to Apple, so I filled out the US form online and clicked Submit. Within a day I was now able to offer in-app purchase, so definitely their advice I posted already was the key if you are a Canadian.

Send in the CAD forms, fill out US ones online.

If you are not a company, you just use your SIN in Section 6 for Foreign tax identifying number.

Check off the Section 9 box.

Select only the "Income from the sale of applications" in Section 10.

The rest is fairly self explanatory.

I've put a post on my blog to describe the process of setting up tax information with Apple when you are a non-US resident. You can find it below. Hopefully it might help anyone else that stumbles across this thread!
