i hope im in the right forum. here is my problem didnt know what to put down for spaces,,,picked one out of blue,,im not a developer,,i just want help with el capitan


I have just upgraded to el capitan, and the moment it was finished rebooting i went into my emails and found they all disappeared from my computer, all the saved important and archived ones i have had for a long time,,as well as pictures contained in them, i then went to my samsung note three,and the same there. as i clicked on a file,,,,like bills,,,,i could see the emails for a second before they disappeared. I was freaking out,,,i went then to my gmail account online and as soon as i did the same there,,,bingo,,all archived gone,,after seeing them for a second. i really pray i can get them back,,,i need big help

Since a beta isn't an 'upgrade', you're now on the bleeding edge and helping to test pre-release software.


If that's not where you want to be and you have a trusted and reliable 10.11.2 backup, now might be the time to do a restore.


Or, go all in and move to yesterday's 10.11.4 beta to see if it isn't as brittle, etc.
