Apple Remote Desktop not working

Apple Remote Desktop is completely unstable under 10.11.4 beta. Before this was using 10.11.3 Beta2 with 10.11.2 and was getting the same results. Before 10.11.3 Beta 2 things seemd to be a bit more stable.

So the issue isn't when connecting on a local network it's whenever connecting remotely and it has to rely on icloud to connect through. That's when ARD says the system is offline. I created a new partition on rMBP and mini and installed 10.11.2 and everything works perfectly fine.

Make sure you report it. It's a beta, and they need to know.

Yeah just wanted to see if others were seeing the same issue.

For me it won't even properly start since 10.11.4 beta 4/5:

"The Remote Desktop administrator software failed to start due to an unexpected error." The Remote Desktop software may not be installed correctly or the computer may require a restart".

Reinstalling or restarting did not help 😟

Hi

I've exactly same problem than Dominus. Remote Desktop administrator refuses to start and displays the same message "The Remote Desktop administrator software failed to start due to an unexpected error.". It is only affecting computers which ran the developper beta. Everything is fine with production Macs upgraded from 10.11.3 to 10.11.4 (classic channel).

So far I tested or tried:

- authorisations have been repaired

- the problem is not session related

- safe boot is not helping

- deinstallation (following https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201766), reboot and reinstall from App Store

- System reinstall from combo update 10.11.4

- System reinstall from App Store installer

If someone has better ideas.

CU.

I solved the problem by trashing and deleting the folder "/var/folders/zz" which displayed a "Permission denied" error for ARDAgent in the Console.

Since deleted, no more error when opening Remote Desktop admin.

Regards.

Brilliant! All working again. Thanks a lot.
