Text Message Forwarding not working on iPad Air

Since beta 9.3 beta 1, I've been unable to turn on the "Text Message Forwarding" feature on my iPad Air. The result of this is that the iPad is only able to send and receive iMessages.

On the iPhone under Settings -> Messages -> Text Message Forwarding I see the iPad as an available device, but the button has been toggled off. Toggling the button to the on position brings up the dialog to enter the code it claims it will show on the iPad. No such code ever appears. I've updated to the new beta, have restarted both devices multiple times, logged out and back into iMessage, and logged out and back into iCloud (allowing it to delete everything), but nothing has changed.

Any suggestions? I've yet to do a restore, but I'm not convinced it will help, given the steps I've already gone through.

iPhone is a 5S A1453. iPad Air is a A1474.

hhave been having the same problem, just figured it out. Make sure that your Apple ID in iMessage matches your Apple ID EXACTLY. Meaning if your iCloud ID starts with a capital letter make sure the iMessage one does as well. I logged out of everythi on both devices. Shut them both down, restarted and signed again making sure everyting matched exactly. Worked 1st time. I use an iPhone 6 and an iPad Air 2

Unfortunately, this did not help. I had previously attempted a full logout/login cycle from scratch on both devices, but I just did it again, including powering down the devices, per your suggestion. I'm still faced with the same issue: the toggle for allowing my iPad to receive text message forwards never actually triggers a prompt on the iPad as it suggests it will, and thus I can't enable it.

It seems I may need to move on to attempting a restore, in which case I'll just wait until the next beta release (which might fix it anyway). Thanks for responding.

Actually, I'm stubborn, and attempted it again, since you'd said it worked. The third time doing this from scratch, focusing on the iMessage logins, got it working. Thank you.
