Battery Life

Is anyone else finding their battery life has significantly dropped?

I'm using a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013)

I'm not sure if it's 10.11.4, or something else, but I'm lucky if I get 3Hrs from a full charge. Usually it's a lot longer.

It's a(nother) beta where power management is typically left out until near the end. Be sure to file bugs, etc.

Hi, NickO,

I don't know if it's "battery drainage" for me, but what's been happening with me is random, unannounced shutdowns.

After I turn on/wake my computer, it shuts down a few seconds later. After pressing the power button, my computer will signify "death"; however, once I plug my MagSafe charger in and turn my computer on, my battery life indicates at least half (<50%). I don't know what the **** happening, but it's quite frustrating.

I am finding processes that submit diagnostics frequently running. Not sure what

proccess is doing it, but my mail is coming up with drafts all by itself.

That will help drain both battery and disk space.

I just got off the phone with apple support. Of course, they don't support the Beta software. He directed me to this page and seemed to indicate that it's most likely a problem with this version of the software. Anyway, I'm having the exact same issue as you are.

Yes, noticed it today on my Macbook Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014. I charged my battery multiple times today and it is burning through battery pretty fast, and nothing in my usual work pattern has changed.

Mid 2015 MBr 2.5 i7 - Battery life has been horrible. Less than a couple of hours just browsing. Rnnning 10.11.4

If this is about the OS X public/app store version, those user-centric questions may be better suited for Apple's public community support forums rather than here in the developer/IDE forums, thanks.
