Can't display iCloud System Preferences pane

The System Preferences and com.apple.preferences.icloud.remoteservie

processes eventually stop responding, and the panel is never displayed. Trying

to post another issue I have with this release, Apple's developer website said

my Apple ID password had expireed, so I had to create a new one. When I restart

my computer, a popup panel is displayed saying it can't log into my iCloud account,

which makes sense since I changed the password, but now I can't log into the account

as the iCloud System Preferences pane hangs :-(

I've got this same issue. I have no idea what I did (if aything) to get it to come back up.

I still can't sign in or out, and my iCloud is completely messed up with this beta.

I'll have to file a radar.

Same for me. I was forced to change my password by the developer membercenter.

Since then I can't open the iCloud preference pane.

I tried to work around by accessing the iCloud preference through the Internetaccounts Preference Pane but it hangs up this way too.

I have the same issue. The pref panel doesn't load at all.

I was seeing the same problem. I was able to open the accounts tab in Messages and update the password there. It seems has if Apple has then pushed the new password system wide, as I am no longer getting the error message that my Mac couldn't connect to iCloud. Hope that works for everyone else too!

I was able to log in through imessage as well, but it isnt syncing my iCloud contacts.

That appears to be the case for as well, now that you mention it.

I only really use iCloud for Messages, Contacts, and Calendar. Messages seems to be separate so that works, but no Contacts or Calendar, Calendar is the biggest hiccup. I don't change my contacts too often. I'm assuming something like this would be fixed in the Beta 2, seeing that its affecting almost everyone.

I have this same issue.

I was fourced to change my passpord when logging in to the Developers page. Now I can't seen to get into my setting to change the password for my icloud on my mac. The application just keep freezing.

I had this exact problem too. I solved it by deleting all files from the following folder:

/Users/<MY HOME FOLDER>/Library/Application Support/iCloud/Accounts

I was then able to get into the iCloud preference pane, where it asked me for my new password. After giving it, all was working again.

FWIW, I deleted the files while running OS X from another partition, but that was probably not essential.

[Edit]: Based on responses to this, it is necessary to reboot after deleting the files.

This worked for me, I was able to log into my own profile, delete these files and reboot, then the preferences pane worked going forward.

Happened to me after I was forced to change my password.

Same here.

Have you tried the fix I suggest below?
