How to install watchOS 2 beta.

I have the profile on my computer but don't know what to do with it. Would anyone be able to help? I also cannot access the instructions on the website on how to do this so an explanation would be very helpful!

I strongly recommend you read the "watchOS beta Software Installation Guide" by Apple, available in the Dev Centre. It lists all the instructions on how to install watchOS 2 on your Apple Watch. Don't forget to register the UDID in your account, though!

Just as I specifically mentioned earlier, it won't open the page for me. Have you any idea as to what steps I should follow to install?

Briefly...

Update your phone to iOS 9 Beta

Then, navigate to the developer watchOS beta page and click the beta security profile link to install on your Watch (when you click the link the phone will ask where you want to install it).

Then, open the Apple Watch app and check for updates.

Thank you! So I assume that I would need to download the profile onto the phone then. I originally installed it on my MacBook Pro. I think the problem was that I didn't have iOS 9 yet, so the profile wouldn't download.

Yeah, you have to do it on the phone. And you do need iOS 9.

If you have the profile on your Mac they suggest emailing it to yourself and opening it on your phone.

I emailed the profile to my iPhone (iOS9), tapped the attachment, selected the Apple Watch, and nothing happened.

Then I went to the Apple Watch app and checked for software updates, and it said it was up to date (1.0.1).

(My watch ID is registered under the developer's portal).

Can anyone think of anything else I can try?

I also installed the profile on the phone and rebooted both devices.

It worked after about the third time I tried installing the profile on the watch.

So I bit the bullet and decided to try to install watchos 2. I wiped my phone, the watch, started fresh to minimize any installation problems. The Watch is with Apple now on the way to the depot in Tennessee to be wiped and reinstalled. The OS took a long time to install, the process couldn't finish and just hung up half way through. I knew it was a risk and I've been working with Apple's beta software for a long time and it doesn't both me any. They will call me when it's ready and I won't try to install it again until right before release, the app will wait.

Turn off the screen lock in the phone and the PASSCODE on the watch. This seems to keep both devices alive during the update. I found that if the watch locked itself during the install (almost impossible to avoid), this will prevent the update from occurring.

Hope this helps.
