Including Symbols and Bitcode In iTunes Connect Upload?

Hi

We are trying to use the Xcode / iTunes Connect crash reporting features in our 2016 releases, but it hasn't gone so well thus far. The main issue is that we cannot get any symbolicated crash reports out of the latest version of Xcode.

When I upload our build to iTunes from the Organizer, I have the enable bitcode checkbox checked. I also have the checkbox checked for sending up symbols. The build uploads fine, validates, and is sent through either TestFlight or onto the App Store.

If I visit iTunes Connect however every build says "Include Symbols" is No. If I try to select the build through the crash organizer, I can see crashes, but none are symbolicated. If I try to download the dsyms for the builds from the Xcode organizer it says they aren't available.

So I'm sort of sitting here right now with a slew of crashes that I'd love to diagnose, but the tools are failing me. I'm not really sure what's causing it or how to proceed. Any guidance would be welcomed.

Thank you!

I'm in almost the same situation. Even though "Includes Symbols" says "Yes" on the iTunes Connect build page, my crash reports don't symbolicate in Xcode. The UUID is different on the crash reports than the build and dSYM file (presumably because the crash UUID refers to the bitcode build), so I'm stuck with a bunch of crashes I would love to debug and hex memory addresses. Super frustrating.

Some people over on this thread report crash logs for some apps symbolicate while others don't. You might want to file a bug report with Apple and then post the issue number there. mychrisdangelo from Apple seems to be monitoring the issue.
