Conformity to apple guidelines about pornographic content

Hi, i have a project that aims to give the user the power to share your own artistic nudity, i've already read the *********** section.

  • 18.1

Apps containing pornographic material, defined by Webster's Dictionary as "explicit descriptions or displays of sexual organs or activities intended to stimulate erotic rather than aesthetic or emotional feelings", will be rejected
  • 18.2

Apps that contain user generated content that is frequently pornographic (e.g. "Chat Roulette" Apps) will be rejected

The intent of the app is to have aesthetic display of sexual organs, but the line that draws the aesthetic from plain erotic stimulation is pretty blurry, so i fear that the app would be inviable, and also because the content will be from the users (both professional and amauters).

What do you guys think?

Did you keep a straight face when you said "aesthetic display of sexual organs..........will be from amateurs"....?

Accepted Answer

I think you have identified at least two of the reasons why your app will be "inviable" (aka rejected by App Review). 18.2 is clearly applicable. 18.1 is most likely applicable because you have no control over the intent of the user hence can't argue the intent will not be to "stimulate erotic ... feelings".
