FCPX is crashng over and over and my video is has a whit washed out look like a filter was added over it. I deleted FCPX and re-loaded it but wasnt sure if anyone alse had issues with FCPX running in El Capitan OS Beta
FCPX Issues in El Capitan
I don't seem to be experiencing these issues. It did run through an initial set process as if it was being installed on a new machine for the first time (ie it runs all of the cmd line scripts)
I noticed after installing 10.11 that the Previous System folder contained some Pro app files and Quicktime files that I know FCPX uses, haven't finished checking into if that is an issue tho.
It does seem that FxFactory and some of it's own plug-ins do not work (Black Screen) - But 3rd party apps from the FxFactory 'stable' (Ripple Training etc), PixelFilm Studios, CoreMelt and MotionVFX all work fine on my 5K iMac late 2014 and on my mid-2011 27iMac - so it would seem that FxFactory's own plug-ins are a problem.
I was using it ok yesterday with the first beta. I installed the 15A204h update that came out today and now it crashes on startup. I'm wondering if it's just me. It's possible that my machine shut down uncleanly and corrupted a file, but I've already tried nuking the usual suspects. If others are having the same problem, I can stop messing with it and wait for the next release.
sorry, i did not see this thread....same issue for me, fcpx was fine with first beta, crashes on startup in second beta....
Yes, same for me. OK with first Beta but crashes on startup with second Beta.
I tried OS X Recovery to reinstall El Capitan, and it succesfully reinstalled the first Beta. FCPX then worked again.
I 'upgraded' to Beta 2 and then it crashed again.
This is the cause apparently:

That error also crashes GraphicConverter:

Using FCP X 10.2.1, OSX 10.11 (15A204h), GraphicConverter 9.6.1 & 9.7.2030
All work fine now in Beta 3 - FCP X, GraphicConverter and Google Chrome Canary
