Is any one else experiencing and issue connecting to 802.1x wireless networks. Mine just sits there spinning at Authenticating.
802.1x Wireless
Looks like what we've been seeing with our enterprise WPA2 wireless network, unfortunately.
I was experiencing wireless issues, restarting my routers had no positive effect.
I removed WIFI from the Network System Preferences and added it back but this had no postive effect on the affected computer.
I continued to isolate by removing items inside /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration that has the name network in the folder or file name.. This will followed by a restart which resolved this issue.
It sounds like Apple has changed minimium requirements for 802.1x authentication. We run an Aruba wireless and I checked with them going through some posts here to see what was going on with it. They said that they were releasing an update to their firmware for my controller and APs last week that would fix the issue. It was not released before I had left for the day so I was unable to try. I would check with your networking device support to see if they are aware of it, many times they know about it and have a release date set for the update.
Hi pnkelley,
In the interests of easy access to solutions, I'm posting yours to your question:
If you are running Aruba OS, upgrade to version 6.4.2.9 and the issue is resolved.
