Sorry I'm no help at all but I also always get this error now. I've been thinking it's a problem on iTunes side but I'm experiencing the problems for days now!
Did you find a solution? I'm still struggling with the same problem.
Using the Application Loader instead of XCode's Organizer finally solved the problem.
I'm now also getting this validation failed message: "The network connection was lost." from Xcode 7.0.1. I wonder if this is just a temporary problem with iTunes Connect, or if something changed in the submission proceedures.
Failed several times, and succeeded only one time just now. Maybe it's network connection problem, or Xcode's problem(Xcode 7.0.1).
