Anyone have an issue getting the PiP (picture in picture) to work on Ipad? I have the ipad air 2 and was unsuccessful with my attempts to get it to work.
I have only gotten it to work with a FaceTime call. It worked well with that.
I tried it with Directv, Starz Play, HBO Go, Encore, Netflix, and Youtube apps none of which worked !
These third party apps will need to be updated to support the feature.
Works fine when using videos app or even HTML5 videos in Safari
How do you activate this feature?
It comes for free with built in video controllers via web view or MP (Movie Player). But most video apps probably have their own custom controller using AVFoundation. They'll need to add support - I think via the new PictureInPictureController.
