Testflight indicates Open but app's not installed

Hey everyone,


For testing our install workflow we've been doing multiple install / removals of our test app (30+ times). After a while Testflight eventually says 'Open' next to the app in TestFlight (TF thinks it's still installed ), but the app's not installed on the device.


Taping Open does nothing, so the device is essentially bricked for testing.


I've tried:


-hard reset

-remove / re-install TestFlight app

-restore of the device from backup


We've seen this once or twice before at the condition seems to resolve after a new build is pushed but can't rely on that.


Any suggestions on how to clear the issue?

What I found worked when I had the same issue was to re-install the app from the store. I believe I also deleted and reinstalled TestFlight, but installing the store version of the app seemed to be the big fix.

I was able to get a device unstuck yesterday by installing a dev build of the app via Xcode, then deleting the build in the Devices window, rather than on-device. Not ideal for testers to fix themselves, but it did get the job done.
