LaunchPad showed paused for quite a while during download. Eventually the download finished. The LaunchPad messages were: "Paused", then "Downloading" and then showed 100% of size completed. Then the message became "Installing' and then "Paused".
Now, for at least 5 hours, it shows "Paused", presumably during the installation.
I do not know what it is actually doing or where to find specific messages to show the reason.
