Unable to Verify Update installing iOS 9.3 final/release iPad Air

This is for final/release. I have an iPad Air running 9.2.1 that was powered-down/restarted and is able to connect to the internet via Safari. The update's available in Settings => General => Software Update. Retried a few times over the last 18 hours, but get the same result each time; (after touching "Install Now") it shows the following error:

"Unable to Verify Update

iOS 9.3 failed verification because youare no longer connected to the Internet"

Any suggestions?

Related to this perhaps? They apparently stopped signing the update.

@junkpile

Ahh, thanks - seems like that's it! Boy, that error message is misleading...

Boy is it ever. My GF has been trying all day to install hers and troubleshoot her supposedly not working Internet connection.

Plus the public Apple forums are full of people reporting the same error.

Why doesn't Apple announce that people will get this error, and to wait?

Then, the next question is, if the phone has already downloaded the "offending" 9.3 release, will users have to manually delete the download before the new one will be seen? I've had times where I had to let it install a newer version before the newest version because it had already downloaded it.

So when are they supposed to be releasing the update that resolves this issue?
