Any way to turn off the "news" under Search?

I know it is early, but kind of surprising to see Apple add news content under Search without any way to turn it off. I have no interest in it being there - any way to turn it off? I guess maybe once the News app shows up...

I don't have my iOS 9 device with me, buts in spotlight settings somewhere at the bottom. "Something Suggestions", I don't remember exactly what it is called.

Unfortunately it turns of suggestions for apps/contacts as well :/ Would love a way to turn off news only.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunate. Hopefully Apple will allow the news suggestions "feature" to be turned off by the time 9 releases. Mirrors Windows 10, whose Web search returns even worse content, but also can't be turned off.

Settings/General/Search/Siri Suggestions -- this toggles all of the suggestions in Spotlight either on or off.

Sounds like something you should file as an enhancement request if you want this to change in future betas or the final release. The people who would make that change may not be reading this thread.

Settings, General, Search

Oh man! They have to allow this to be turned off, or at least customized. Every time I swipe to this menu I am slapped in the face by images of my ***** priminister and the awful things he's up to. That's not cool!

I may be mistaken but doesn't toggling "News" under spotlight search turn that off??

Any way to turn off the "news" under Search?
