Problems with Mail.app

In Mail.app Version 9.0 (3054):

- I'm seeing wheel-of-death stalls quite a bit. These feel like they are related to account-check threads blocking the UI

- After every drag & drop manual re-order of accounts in the sidebar, there is a wheel-of-death stall.

- Manual re-order of accounts doesn't stick. After re-starting Mail, the accounts re-sort back to the order they appear in the Preferences:Accounts panel.

Are others seeing these problems as well?

Yes, I have the same problem. Plus some issues with iCloud that messed up my account settings. Maybe I will go through some routine permission repair, but I'm not holding my breath.

I've had a whole slew of woes:

On Macbook Air yesterday mail refused to connect to the iCloud mail server despite all the settings being identical to a Yosemite system that was connecting just fine. The solution was to go into ~/Library using Terminal and delete all of the folders called Mail.

On Macbook Pro this morning mail insists that may email address ends me.com despite it being a mac.com address and mac.com in the AppleID. I checked on iCloud.com, iPhone and non 10.11 Macs and all of them believe that my email address ends mac.com but the 10.11 systems refuse to use anything except me.com

I'm seeing another issue as well, maybe related to the changes of the list control which add delete/mark gestures:

Viewing of Headers and Source are disabled, either by hotkey or by menu choice.

I am logging these in Bug Reporter.

Seeing quite a few beach-ball moments with mail.app.

Also seeing the re-ordering reverting to default / preferences:accounts form.

Seems prone to crashing when composing messages in full-screen mode.

Seems that anything to do with signing / encrypting messages causes major slow-downs even on small text only messages. But other slowdowns for filing / reorganisation too.

same issue here... very very frustrating. any attempt to change the me.com to mac.com in the preferences creates a hang and unable to dismiss the save dialog box.
