I need to upload a distribution certificate, however, the terminology of creating this is not clear to me. The Distribution Certificate (P12 File) needs to be created only once and will be used for all the apps you will publish on the Apple App Store.

What do you mean ? did you already create your certificate in Apple dev portal ?
