How does Handoff work on iOS 9?

Same as before [ see Handoff for Developers ], but now users will be able to make and receive calls and texts over a cellular connection instead of just Wi-Fi.

Seems like coals to newcastle, but progress isn't always pretty, I guess.

Are you able to get it to work? I'm unable to get anything to work from my Macbook running Yosemite to my test iPad running iOS 9.

UPDATE: I had to re-pair it to my Mac in order for it to work.

woah, that' explains alot!! I've noticed handoff working fine - but my cellular data usage is ALWAYS on and synced with my computer, even when turned off. It actually used quite a bit of data parallel with wifi - and there were weird connection issues whenever I would leave wifi and use data alone. I bet this is the local of weird bug!
