Deploying Apps to VPP store

Hi

We are struggling to find resources on how to make our app available in the VPP education store.

To clarify- this isn't about how to install is on devices, (which there is no shortage of information on), this is specifically about getting our app listed on the VPP for education store so schools can then download and sitribute it to their iPads.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a guide for this? Deploying to the regular app store was easy- for some reason this seems to be a little-known secret.

Thanks in advance- any help really appreciated as we've been getting our heads around this for a while now.

I'm not particularly knowledgeable about iOS and the iOS App Store, but since no one else has posted here I'll do what I can to help you out.

You made sure that there isn't anything wrong with your app's metadata that prevents it from being qualified for appearing in the education store, right? I'm not sure about this, but I think that for education-oriented apps, the app should appear automatically in the store. You could always use the Contact Us module to ask someone at Apple to help you out.

Don't confuse the VPP(rogram) Store (for companies that want to bulk purchase) with the VPP(rogram) that educational institutions can participate in.

See http://www.apple.com/education/it/vpp/

Edu institutions are allowed to purchase at 50% off, buying bundles of redeem codes which individuals then use to download by from the regular/public App Store. Redeem code blocks are also how apps also distributed via the VPP Store (companies).

Did you accept the edu discount agreement (Member Center/iTC/Agreements, Tax & Banking)? Is that app flagged for edu discount purchase? If so, that's perphas all you need. Then it's just a matter of connecting edu buyers with your app (read as: marketing). Some of my apps have sold to edu (50% discount), yet I'm not selling via the 'VPP Store'.
