When I use the InstallApplication command MDM-client does not install the current version from iTunes but previous. However AppStore says there is a newer version and installs it. If I repeat the InstallApplication command, it will again install the previous version.
Anybody had such issues?
We are having the same problem with a B2B app through the app store.. Even when deleting the app and re-installing it, it installs an older version with an update showing in the app store. Very frusturating when attempting to push updates to users.
Do you have any ideas how to deal with that?
Odd, as you cant specify the version when installing the app, so Im guessing it's the same problem I have seen in the past....
Are you installing using the store id or the bundle identifier in the install application command?
It may be the store id or bundle identifier was changed for the app on the app store between the 2 versions.
I have seen vendors do that in the past so to resolve the issue I just used the thing that stayed the same between the versions of the app, which was the store id for the last app I had this problem with
Store id and bundle identifier didn't change, I checked both of them

Has anyone found a solution to this issue as my organization has also found this issue? Our MDM vendor is also investigating the root cause.

Please file a bug report for this issue using Apple's bug reporting tool located at https://developer.apple.com/bug-reporting/. Include the device model, iOS version, the content of the MDM command you sent, the device console log, and the corresponding server log. Please also file a bug report with your MDM solution provider.
Having many bug reports for the same issue is a big help in prioritizing.

Hello everyone:
We use Cisco Meraki to manage a large amount of devices and could successfully update device applications via an MDM command before.
We now experience the same sympton as mentioned here with iTunes APP Store APPS and Cisco Meraki refered us to Apple, ie:
From here, it looks like you may need to contact Apple and open a ticket as to why the devices are not grabbing the most up to date version of the app.
