iPhone 6 Battery Life after iOS 9 Upgrade

Battery life on my iPhone 6 has degraded significantly since the iOS 9 upgrade. Has anyone else noticed this and are there any suggested fixes?

My phone usually lasts all day with moderate use, and usually is around 30-40% charged at the end of the day. Since the iOS 9 update, I can only get 3-4 hours from full charge before it hits the 20% threshold.

Its a Beta 1 you will always get battery issues i have gone from 1-5% per hour iOS 8 too 5-10% iOS 9, Will come back to you

I agree with leeknight1981. This issue is common during betas. If the past holds true, beta 2 will drop in a week or 2 and have a fix.

Try to turn off Diagnostic & Usage in the Settings' Privacy tab.

I have noticed that the Phone does not turn off the display after sitting for a while. The brightness goes way down, but the screen itself is still on and phone is not locked, this is even with the auto-lock set to 5 minutes, which might be contributing to the battery life drain that I'm seeing. If I manually lock my phone the battery seems to last longer.

I'm seeing the same. Pretty much like previous betas though, and is to be expected. However, this time we have "Low Power Mode" to test too! Low power mode has been very good and in my experience this week, it puts battery life way back up for little penalty. Currently I keep my phone in Low power mode when I'm away from my charger, until less power hungry beta is available.

This is an interesting idea. I can see Apple wanting lots of diagnostics from beta releases.

Do you know that this will work? If so, I'll try reinstalling.

My iPhone 6 ran warm on iOS 9, warm like when I use GPS for an extended period. But, I wasn't using any GPS apps (G Maps etc...) the day I used iOS 9 and the battery drained from 100% to 20% in 5hrs.

The lock screen took most of my battery life. By turning off some of the search results [settings--general--search], it helped lower the % of the lock screen.
