iOS 10 Beta on iPad 3rd generation

Hi,

On Apple's website, it says that iOS 10 will be compaitible with the iPad 2 and iPad 3rd generation.

However, when I go to download the restore image for the beta from my developer account, only the iPad 4th generation and up are listed. (I also noticed that the iPad 2 and iPad 3 were not included in the list shown during the WWDC keynote.)

Is this a mistake on Apple's website? Does anyone know if iOS 10 will actua;;y be compatible with the iPad 3rd generation or not? If so, how can I install the beta?

Thanks!

If Apple said it will, then it will - maybe the beta, at least for now, is different, however.

I don't think iPad 3 is supported. ***** cause that's what I have. I think he did say it was supported in the Keynote but seems like a mistake. I wanted to try out that Swift Playground!

Looks like Apple's website has just changed to reflect the devices listed during the keynote.

Seems as if the iPad 2 and 3 will not be supported after all

The iPad 3 was a real bummer. It was released and 6 months later it was replaced. Now they obsolete it early. Incredible.

I agree. In some ways, they act like it never even existed.

It seems like apple has dropped support for the iPad 2 and 3. The later doesn't make sense, though, because the iPad 3 has the same ram as the iPad 4. The only difference is the A5x processor. Unfortunately, according to this site, the A5 processor is obsolete.

Bummer.
