As soon as I start directions to a location, my phone freezes. It happens every time. IPhone 6s. Anyone experiencing this problem? Seems to working fine on friends 5s and 6. It just sticks on the initial location and gps never tracks. I can use every other function in the maps app but gps never tracks.

Working fine for me. IPhone 6s Plus.
Did a complete reset and started as new phone and still a no go. Guess I'll try to restore to a new beta again.
Yeah, it's not working for me either. Start the directions and then it just sits there. Not good. Using a 6S.
Figured out the problem today after a hour of trouble shooting and 4 waisted restores. YOu Must turn on Location based alerts and diagnostics and usage in your system services under location services. If those 2 are off, it will not work. I've reported to apple. Turn those 2 and you should be good to go.
Doesn't help with a 5S. it says starting route, then stops. it isn't frozen, but no directions. Both Map Location Alerts and Diagnostics are on.
