Home App on iPad Pro

I have installed iOS 10 on my iPad Pro and iPhone 6 Plus. All of my homekit accessories dispay on both devices. Yesterday evening both devices were able to control all scenes and accessories. As of today around 12pm the iPhone still works perfectly but the iPad Pro displays the message of "No Response" in red for 25% of my devices. All the scenes seem to still work but I notices that the affected devices give the message of "This accessory is not responding.". The same device is enabled and addressable on my iPhone and continues to function. Lastly, I notices that my Automation/Triggers fail to execute at all. If I trigger the scenes manually they work just fine. The devices that are being controlled are as follows:

Insteon Pro Hub (HomeKit compatible)

15 Insteon On/Off Toggle Switches

8 Insteon Dimmer Switches

Philips Hue Hub 2

3 Hue Light Strips

8 Hue Bulbs

6 Hue Bloom

I have 5 current generation Apple TVs, one of the five is running the tvOS Beta. I also noticed that I can no longer access my HomeKit accessories away from home.

I have tried reseting all hubs, switches, access point, routers, and Apple TVs (just in case they were the problem). I have tried power cycling the iPad, reseting the network settings, and logging out and back into iCloud. In the past one of these corrective actions would fix the issue but not this time. This issue has now persisted for several hours and will not function on the iPad no matter what I do. Thanks in advance.

Followup: I cleared this issue by removing and reading my Phillips Hue devices. However, I am noticing the issue it not with the Home.App. I notice whenever this error "No Response" is returned for devices in the Home.app I am also unable to retrieve email, browse the App Store, or browse the internet with Safari. I think the issue is networking related and is not isolated to the Home.app.

My device is wifi and cellular and the same behavior presents on both. If I reset my network settings and rejoin my access point or put my device in airplane mode for a few moments the issue disappears.

Hi,

I am unable to use my Apple TV (4th Gen) as a hub for the new home app on iOS 10. I don't have a "allow remote access" button in my settings which means I cannot set triggers under the automation section. Everything else within the home app works perfectly.

Any ideas?

Did you upgrade your Apple TV to tvOS 10 beta? That is required before being able to do that.

Follow up: Eventually homekit stopped working on all my devices. I was able to fix the problem by resetting my homekit configration on all devices and setting up all my devices again. I appears whatever process that the Home App goes throught to import an exsiting database does not do a very good job with all previously configured devices. It feels like if one device gets out of sync or corrupted eventually it affects all devices using the same apple ID or invited.

It would be nices i there was a backup/restored HomeKit configuration to iCloud or Time Machine. Having to redo a large configuration is really painful. Additionally, the ability to specify a master device for the purpose of syncing all others might be benenficial. Right now modify you HomeKit configuration using the same Apple ID on multiple devices feels risky.

I have tvOS beta 4 installed on my tv, and I see nowhere to allow remote access. If I go to the Home setting on my iPhone, it just shows a graphic of how the tv will let me do it, but nowhere to actually show HOW to do it.

So, tvOS 10.0 has the same issue. I can't activate the Apple TV for anytype of remote access or automation with homekit. In fact the Apple instructions, are not even correct, there is no Settings > iCloud there is under Settings > Accounts > iCloud but there is no referece to homekit within that menu..

Two Factor is enabled, All devices are using 10.0.1, Apple TV 10.0

Home app does not see AppleTV, nor allow for any configuration. All devices are using the same WiFi network..

Daron, I agree! There should be a way to save configs. It has been a pain to readd when I have problems. I also have an Insteon hub pro and about 50 devices.

One question for you since you seem to have a similar setup. When I go to the new Home app on my iPhone or iPad, all devices I added in "Favorites" show as "No response". If I go to "Rooms" all my devices are working correctly and do not show "No Response". The problem is that the Watch uses the favorites so no device is reachable from the watch. Can you please let me know if you have the same problem with favorites? I believe it is an Insteon Hub Pro issue (not an Apple issue) and I have wrote to them but they said iOS 10 is too new and they cannot help now.
