Yahoo Mail Password Crashing iPad

Have iOS 9 installed on iPhone and iPad. I also have Yahoo Mail accounts on both.

iPhone - Lots and lots and lots of pops up telling me my password is incorrect, try entering again. I just ignore them and Mail is pulling fine.

iPad - Would not pull Mail so I went into Mail settings and started re-entering my password for Yahoo Mail. For discussion purposes, my password contains these characters

......ica#Y......

When I enter the "Y", Settings crashes. 100% of the time.

So...any thoughts on a) why this is happening and b) why only on the iPad.

I had the same issues. I ended up deleting the 2 Yahoo accounts and re-creating them from scratch.

No help, I've deleted the account and re-added several times. Each time. The Y crashes system preferences.

I have the same problem for me on iPad with ios9. Submitted bug report. Tried deleting and re-installing yahoo mail. Didn't help.

When I try to add yahoo, after entering my email address, then password when I click on "submit" the screen reverts to the "add account" screen. Result: no yahoo email...

I resolved this by:

1. Adding a new yahoo account

2. at the Yahoo api, click on "I cannot access my account"

3. Click on "recover my account"

4. Yahoo sends a text message to your phone (or via email)

5. Enter the code they send by text or email in the next screen on the api

6. Create a new password

7. Voila! The account is created. (Now you need to change the password on your other devices...)
