Does Quicktime not record iPhone screens with IOS 10.0?

With past IOS downloads, I've been able to record the screen using Quicktime. Since I downloaded IOS 10.0, I have not been able to record the screen for reference of the bugs I've noticed. Has anyone else had this problem? How can I fix this?

Thanks!

Previously I think this worked with "New Screen Recording"... but now it's "New Movie Recording" option (the top one) that seems to work. I just tried with iPad Pro (big one) running iOS 10, and it worked, and worked quite well. You need to tap that little down arrow by the red record button to choose your device, and the video record quality setting. also.

btw I'm running an older Mac OS X... 10.10.5, this might also make a difference.

Deeeds,

I am still using 10.11.6 Beta (15G12a). I tried again to record my iPhone with Quicktime by using the "new movie recording" and it worked eventually. (It's as though it has a problem reading my iPhone?) Once connected, it worked as it has before. Thanks so much for your help!

I have the same issues with you, use the native way QuickTime to record my iPhone 6s, but now it does not work after my update to iOS 10. There are third-party apps for recording your iOS device's screen, like reflector, Airserver, Apowersoft Phone Manager to record iOS screen, but requires the very stable wifi network.
